What kind of therapy do you do?
Our therapy is a combination of evidence-based practices inclduing: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Our approach is rooted in the spirit of collaboration and genuine connection. We are trauma informed, strengths based and anti-oppressive. We use attachment theory and a holistic approach, considering not only the person but also their environment.

How do I make an appointment?
It’s easy! Just use our contact form to set up a free 15 minute consultation. We will talk about your goals and decide if Inwood Hill Therapy is right for you before scheduling your first appointment.

Where is your office?
We have an office on the Upper West Side of Manhattan if you’d like in-person therapy. Since we also provide teletherapy, anyone in New York state can make an appointment.

Do you take my insurance?
Great question! We take Aetna, UnitedHealthCare, Oscar, Oxford and Optum. If you have Out of Network benefits, we can provide you with a super bill for reimbursement.

When will I hear back about a consultation?
Inwood Hill Therapy will respond within 24-48 hours.

What if I have to cancel my consultation?
Please send an email letting us know. 24 hrs notice is always appreciated.
